Football Manager 2010 beats Wii Fit Plus to number one

Budding Sir Alex Fergusons and Arsene Wengers across the country have ensured that Football Manager 2010 debuted at the top of the UK all formats games chart. The eagerly-awaited latest instalment in the series loved by obsessive football fans had some tough competition for the number one spot. Wii Fit Plus was released on the same day as Football Manager 2010, but had to settle for second place.

The performance of the two games' predecessors suggests the titles could battle it out at the top of the chart for some time. Wii Fit is one of the biggest selling video games of all time, while Football Manager 2009 topped the PC chart for 22 weeks. November's first all formats sales figures were dominated by football games, with former number ones FIFA 10 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 in third and fifth positions respectively.

There were two further new entries in the top ten - Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City at number six and Tekken 6 at number eight. What's your best performance on a Football Manager game?
