HTC HD2 set for November release
HTC has announced that its new Windows-based phone, the HD2, will be launched in Europe this month. The handset, which has a 4.3-inch capacitive touch display, is equipped with a wide range of functions designed to make it feel as personal to the user as possible. These include a localised weather forecast, the ability to sort communications by contact regardless of whether messages have come via text, email or Facebook, a Twitter application and the ability to download applications from Windows Marketplace for Mobile. British internet users 'trust .uk addresses'
The majority of British internet users prefer to click on .uk sites than .com ones, according to a new report. A survey by internet registry Nominet asked consumers whether they would be more likely to click on a .uk or a .com web address first in search results. Sony Ericsson to launch its first Android mobile
Sony Ericsson has unveiled its first Google Android-based handset, as it continues to find ways to take on Apple's iPhone. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, which will be launched early in 2010, has a customised version of the Android operating system. Football Manager 2010 beats Wii Fit Plus to number one
Budding Sir Alex Fergusons and Arsene Wengers across the country have ensured that Football Manager 2010 debuted at the top of the UK all formats games chart. The eagerly-awaited latest instalment in the series loved by obsessive football fans had some tough competition for the number one spot. Fallout 3 takes best game honour
Fallout 3 has been named Ultimate Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards. More than 1.2 million people voted for the award winners and those gamers picked Bethesda Softworks' action role-playing title as the best game of the last 12 months. Available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, Fallout 3 is set in a post-nuclear war USA and challenges gamers to take on all kinds of mutants as they attempt to find their father.
