A religious officiary in the US has broken with tradition and welcomed weapons into church. Ken Pagano, pastor at the New Bethel Church in Kentucky, urged his congregation to bring unloaded handguns to a service on Saturday (June 27th) to celebrate the right to bear arms. According to AP, more than 200 people were present at the Open Carry Celebration, which was arranged in response to fears that the Obama administration will repeal a law that gives US citizens the right to carry guns.

Paintings and drawings by German artist Erich Wolfsfeld have been stored at the Liverpool home of his stepson Dr Max Block for 20 years. Dave Chapman had been enjoying a drink with pals on Saturday night (June 20th) when he decided to change his outfit, the Timaru Herald reported. A teenager in Belgium is suing a tattoo artist after having 56 black stars permanently drawn on her face. Kimberley Vlaeminck, 18, claimed that she asked for a tattoo featuring just three stars but fell asleep during the procedure and woke up to find an entire star field on the left side of her face. The body art, which cost around 55 euros, could now cost up to 10,000 euros to rectify and the youngster and her family are suing the artist for damages.
