New Skoda Yeti to trample the competition?

Skoda is offering UK drivers the chance to take a sneak peak at its new model - the Yeti. In dealerships across the country from now until August 7th, customers will be able to get a hands-on preview of the new car, which the company is calling its "most versatile vehicle yet". The Yeti is available in two or four-wheel-drive and Skoda claims that it offers a rugged all-terrain-vehicle feel with the running costs of a hatchback.

Having been unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March, the Yeti has been garnering favourable press from many motoring journalists. What? Car said: "The fact that four-wheel-drive versions are so good should hardly come as a surprise from a company that, a few styling issues aside, can barely put a foot wrong these days." The Yeti will go on sale on September 17th and prices start at £13,750 for the 1.2-litre TSI up to £22,120 for the 2.0-litre TDI 4x4.
