Eminem wants to be a guest judge on The X Factor

Controversial rapper Eminem has revealed that he would like to appear as a guest judge on the X Factor. The Real Slim Shady star has expressed frustration that the current judging panel is not providing enough opportunity for talented British hip-hop artists to shine, reports the Sun. He criticised the calibre of its contestants, saying that too much "average talent" is emerging from the show.

Eminem therefore suggested that he and record producer Dr Dre appear as judges, as the pair have enough real-life music industry experience to prepare contestants for the reality of fame. The artist said: "I keep my eye on the urban scene in Britain and there is a lot of talent out there. "It needs somebody in power to open a door for them."

This year's X Factor finalists are currently riding high atop the UK singles charts with their cover of You Are Not Alone, a song made famous by the late Michael Jackson. Would you welcome an appearance from Eminem on the X Factor?
