Cascada keeps Jackson from topping UK chart

Cascada has kept Michael Jackson from claiming number one in the singles chart with Evacuate the Dancefloor. Jackson's Man in the Mirror took the number two spot and number ten with Billie Jean, as the star continued to dominate the charts after his death last week, according to the Official Charts Company. La Roux's Bulletproof was pushed to number three after charting at number one last week.
In the official albums chart, Jackson's The Essential greatest hits package moves to the top, ahead of La Roux's debut album, La Roux, which has taken second place, and Number Ones, Jacksons own number one album from last week, which drops to three. The Official Charts Company said the surge of interest in Michael Jackson's music, following his tragic death just over a week ago, may well increase over the next few days, "as fans around the world say goodbye in a manner not seen since the funeral of Elvis Presley in August 1977".
