Depp echoes Dillinger at Public Enemies premiere

Johnny Depp looked every bit the loveable rogue that he portrays on-screen in new film Public Enemies, as he wowed the crowds last night (June 29th) in London's Leicester Square. The stars were out on the red carpet to celebrate the European premiere of the movie which is based on the life of famous US bank robber John Dillinger. Looking debonair in his pin-striped suit and waistcoat, Depp's clothes could have been pulled straight out of the famous criminal's wardrobe.

Depp revealed to the Associated Press that he had a "fascination" with the outlaw. He said: "Not so much that he was a criminal...[But] that this guy took up arms against the establishment and he did it with a smile. There was a sort of twinkle in his eye which I find interesting."

The leading lady in the film, Oscar winning French actress Marion Cotillard, also attracted lots of attention from the London crowds as she dazzled in a stunning red dress. Are you excited about Public Enemies?
